Connecting Mollie for Bancontact and iDEAL
With Mollie your clients pay a deposit by Bancontact or iDEAL. The money goes straight into your own account, Bookable is not in between. Here is how to set it up.
What you need
- Your company number: your KBO number in Belgium or your KvK number in the Netherlands
- A business bank account
- Proof of identity for the business owner
- Your website, with your services and prices on it
Mollie checks your website. If your services and prices are clearly listed, the check goes more smoothly.
Step 1: create a Mollie account
- 1Go to mollie.com and create an account with your name, your email address and a password.
- 2Click Start setup and fill in your business details exactly as they appear in the register: country, name, legal form, company number, address and VAT number.
- 3Fill in the details of the business owner. Indicate who owns more than 25% of the business.
- 4Enter your website and a short description of your business.
- 5Upload proof of identity for the business owner. Sometimes Mollie also asks for a selfie.
- 6Add your business account number. Mollie checks it with a small payment from that account.
Mollie then reviews your details. That can take up to 10 working days. In the meantime, just carry on setting up Bookable.
Step 2: switch on Bancontact and iDEAL
- 1In Mollie, click the name of your business at the top left.
- 2Go to Organisation settings and then to Payment methods.
- 3Switch on Bancontact. If you also have clients in the Netherlands, switch on iDEAL as well.
Step 3: connect Mollie to Bookable
- 1In Bookable, go to Settings and then to Payments.
- 2Click Connect with Mollie.
- 3Log in to Mollie and approve the connection. You are taken back to Bookable automatically.
- 4Choose for each service whether a deposit is needed.

What does it cost?
Mollie charges a fee per successful payment. There is no monthly fee for online payments. On 30 September 2026, for businesses in Belgium, that was €0.39 per Bancontact payment and €0.39 per iDEAL payment. For businesses in the Netherlands, iDEAL costs €0.32. When do you get your money?
By default Mollie pays out every week, on Wednesday. Bancontact and iDEAL payments are eligible for that payout straight away. You can change the schedule in Mollie, in your settings.
